Moncler, Harrods, London

Earlier this year, we were invited to provide the polished plaster finishes for the Moncler store at Harrods, London. 

We worked closely with both the main contractor and the client directly throughout the design specification, planning and installation phases. 

Samples were produced to match the specification and control sample provided by the client, with our "Marmorino" polished plaster finish being approved in a bespoke colour reference. 

The project was to be completed out of hours, so night works were required in order to complete the installation whilst the store was closed. Our team completed the polished plaster installation in June, 2025. 

A couple of return visits were required following the install in order to address inevitable snagging and minor repairs.

The brand name "Moncler" was an abbreviation of Monestier-de-Clermont, a mountain village near Grenoble, France, where the brand originated.

Founded in 1952, Moncler was originally focused specifically on sports and mountaineering clothing. The brand has since evolved to include versatile clothing lines for a diversity of customers and occasions - true to it's motto "born in the mountains, living in the city" - whilst maintaining it's focus on supplying unique, high quality products. 

Moncler was the official supplier for the French Downhill Ski team in the Grenoble winter Olympics in 1968. 

In 2021, Moncler Group finalised it's aquisition of Stone Island.
