Oliver Bonas

Our relationship with Oliver Bonas began in Autumn 2023, when the brand approached us to help refresh the interior identity of their new and existing stores. Since then, we've been invited to apply our polished plaster finishes to seven Oliver Bonas locations across the UK - a collaboration that continues to grow. For each project so far, our Distressed Concrete polished plaster was specified as the preferred surface finish, chosen for its ability to provide a refined, contemporary aesthetic with the warmth and individuality of a hand-applied material. Working closely with the Oliver Bonas design team, we created bespoke colour variations for many of these stores, ensuring each space feels unique whilst still alignign with the brand's overall design direction.

Oliver Bonas, Balham, London - October 2023

Our first Oliver Bonas project was for the Balham store relocation in late 2023, where we applied our Distressed Concrete polished plaster, tinted to match Valspar's "Gentle Kiss", to around 100m2 of wall areas throughout the new store.

Oliver Bonas, Plymouth - November 2023

Here, the specification was the same as the Balham store - Distressed Concrete polished plaster to match Valspar's "Gentle Kiss". We applied our finish to around 75m2 of wall areas throughout the store.

Oliver Bonas, Kingston, London - February 2024

For the Kingston store, we installed our Distressed Concrete polished plaster in a custom colour to internal walls as well as the store front, pilasters, bulkheads and soffits.

Oliver Bonas, Cardiff - November 2024

For the Cardiff store, we created a bespoke Distressed Concrete polished plaster to match Valspar's "Wise Grasshopper", which was applied to around 60m2 of wall space throughout the store.

Oliver Bonas, Didsbury - February 2025

We created a custom Distressed Concrete polished plaster to match Johnstone's "Bisque". This was applied to wall and ceiling areas totalling around 90m2 throughout the store.

Oliver Bonas, Ealing - April 2025

The specification for the Ealing store was to match the colour installed in Didsbury, to match Johnstone's "Bisque". We applied our Distressed Concrete polished plaster to walls throughout the store including the fitting room area.

Oliver Bonas, Liverpool Street Station, London - May 2025

We applied our Distressed Concrete polished plaster in custom colour "OB2" to approx. 85m of wall areas throughout the store.

Oliver Bonas, Newcastle - May 2025

Here we applied Distressed Concrete polished plaster in the same colour as the Ealing and Didsbury stores; Johnstone's "Bisque". Our finish was applied to wall areas and underside of ceilings throughout the store totalling approximately 65m2.

Behind The Brand

Founded by Oliver Tress, Oliver Bonas is an independent British lifestyle brand specialising in unique, feel-good fashion and homeware, with an in-house fashion line, "Poem".

Oliver Bonas opened its first store in Fulham Road in 1993, and now has over 90 stores nationwide. We are proud to have bought our polished plaster finishes to several of these stores over the last couple of years, and we look forward to many more in the years to come!

Concrete Polished Plaster

Over the last few years, concrete polished plaster has become one of the most in-demand decorative finishes for modern retail interiors. Our range of honed concrete and distressed concrete polished plasters allows retailers to achieve everything from soft, subtle tonal movement to heavily textured industrial surfaces. Each finish is hand-applied, giving every project a unique character, whilst still maintaining consistency across multiple store locations. This has made it particularly popular for brands seeing a recognisable, on-brand interior identity - something we've been able to deliver across the seven Oliver Bonas stores featured here. The material can also be matched to an extensive range of colours, allowing brands to maintain continuity of materials across multiple stores whilst being able to adapt the palette to different locations, design briefs and seasonal concepts, making concrete polished plaster an ideal option for retailers who want a consistent brand identity with room for creative variation.

Unlike poured concrete, concrete effect polished plaster offers a light-weight solution, without the structural limitations or long installation times, with minimal disruption to construction programmes, making it a practical option for retail environments.

Whether the aim is to create a refined, contemporary look, or a more rugged distressed finish, our concrete polished plaster range provides a reliable and visually striking solution for forward thinking retail brands.
